How To Cold Call Like A Top Pro

Posted by Nick in Sales Training To Improve Sales Results | 0 Comments »

Cold calling could be challenging and even boring. That’s why it’s important to know how to cold call like a Sales Superstar. I would not want to spend a day cold calling without using their skills. Let’s take a look at how to cold call like a top professional.

How To Cold Call Like A Superstar

The first tip on how to cold call like a top pro is to do a little cold calling every day. Let’s say you need to make 100 cold calls each week. Don’t do it all at once because that’s not how to cold call. Instead, make 20 cold calls every day. You’ll learn how to make daily cold calling a habit and you’ll deliver crisper cold calling messages. So, to learn how to cold call like a top sales pro, do it daily and make it a habit.

How To Cold Call With Skills

You’ll know you are on track to learn how to cold call successfully when you stop using phrases like “I want to tell you” or “I’m calling to tell you” at the start of your cold calling message. Prospects don’t care about what you want to do so take it out of your message because that’s not how to cold call.

If you want to learn how to cold call like a top pro, you need to focus on benefits for your prospect. Why should a prospect listen to you? What’s in it for them? How can they benefit from listening to you? Answer these three questions in your opening message and you’re learning how to cold call like a superstar. Cold calling is about benefits.

How To Cold Call Successfully

Here is another cold calling tip that will show you how to cold call with skill. Save your name for the second sentence. Better yet, you’ll learn how to cold call like a top pro if you can save your name until the third sentence. You see, your prospect isn’t looking for an introduction. So tell me, what is your prospect looking for? Right… benefits! You are already learning how to cold call like a top pro!

Cold calling isn’t difficult once you start using powerful cold calling skills. If you don’t have those skills, I invite you to get them. Once you put those cold calling techniques to work, you’ll be showing others how to cold call.

Sales Cycle Basics

Posted by Nick in Sales Training To Improve Sales Results | 0 Comments »

Is Your Sales Cycle On Rinse?

The sales cycle is a map salespeople use to determine where they are and where they are going in an attempt to sell something. Once you know where you are in the sales cycle, you’ll know what has to be accomplished next.

The sales cycle is the same as the sales process. The sales process consists of a series of well-defined steps. So, if you are in the “uncovering needs” step of the sales process, you are also in the “uncovering needs” step of the sales cycle.

There are variations on the number of steps in the sales cycle. Some people combine steps while others add steps. I add steps because I want salespeople to cover all their bases.

Some say the sales cycle begins with establishing rapport between salesperson and prospect. I say the sales cycle begins with developing a sales strategy or sales plan. Some say the sales cycle ends when the sale is closed. I say there is one more step in the sales cycle that follows the close. That step is to ask for a referral. I want my new customer to introduce me to my next prospect.

It could take five minutes or less to complete the sales cycle. You’ll find time frames like that in retail sales. It could also take months or years to complete the sales cycle. Time frames like that are found in Major Account sales.

It takes sales skills to successfully execute the sales process. I urge those interested in learning more about the sales cycle to get some solid sales training on the sales process.

Solution Selling – Find A Problem And Solve It!

Posted by Nick in Sales Training To Improve Sales Results | 0 Comments »

SOLUTION SELLING

Solution selling is the “buzz” right now and it should be. Solution selling is the only way to sell something to somebody. No one buys a product but everyone buys solutions so just how do you get into solution selling mode?

The Key To Solution Selling

Solution selling is all about probing skills. Probing skills are about finding a problem you can solve with your product or service. People buy solutions and not products. Selling solutions is all about asking the right questions to uncover a problem you can solve with your product or service.

Solution selling is the only way to sell something to somebody. However, solution selling is not as easy as it sounds. Solution selling requires skills and you can more about solution selling skills in a solid sales training program.

How To Exercise Solution Selling

Selling solutions is about asking open-ended questions during your implementation of the sales process. Open-ended questions are questions that can’t be answered with a “no” or “yes”. “Do you have problems with your present supplier” is not an open-ended question. “How can your present supplier better serve you” is an open-ended question. Learn open-ended questions and you’ll learn about selling like a top sales pro.

Solution selling is about first finding a problem and then fixing that problem with your product or service. Start selling like a top sales professional and start using solution selling techniques.

Learn more about solution selling.

Posted by Nick in Corporate Sales Training | 0 Comments »

Sales staff training can be effective without spending a small fortune. Sales staff training is not something you should do. Sales staff training is something you must consistently do if you want to drive sales excellence.

Sales staff training will benefit your new, as well as your experienced sales reps. When you start a sales staff training campaign, you are providing your team with the tools they need to succeed in sales. So, sales staff training must be part of your overall strategy to increase sales performance.

Most sales managers and directors think that sales staff training needs to be expensive. That’s simply not true. Sales staff training can be very inexpensive and the results could be amazing. So, let’s look at some effective yet inexpensive ways to meet your sales staff training requirements.

Sales Staff Training Requirements

Your team probably has a wide range of sales skills and experience. Therefore, you need a broad based approach to sales staff training. You get that broad based approach when you get sales training for your sales staff that covers the entire sales process. I recommend an inexpensive sales training DVD that covers the entire sales process. This way, you’ll insure your sales staff training requirements are fully met. Finding The Right Sales Course

Posted by Nick in Sales Training To Improve Sales Results | 0 Comments »

Finding the right sales course could be difficult so let me help you take some of the mystery out of it. I can tell you that you are on the right tack. Using a sales course to increase sales tell me you are a serious sales professional.

CD Sales Course

A CD based sales course has some advantages you should consider. Salespeople are always driving to appointments and it’s so convenient to listen to a CD based sales training program while you are on the road. A sales course on CD is like having your own sales training sitting beside you just before a sales appointment. CD based sales training programs often less expensive than a sales course on DVD.

DVD Sales Course

A DVD sales course may cost more than a CD sales course but there is an advantage to consider about some DVD sales courses. A DVD sales training program that uses visuals gives you the advantage off both seeing and hearing the words that will improve your sales skills. If the DVD sales training program is nothing more than a “talking head”, you may get some inspiration, but other than that, it’s the same as a CD sales training program.

Specialized Sales Course

You can find a sales course that covers a specific sales skill or topic. For example, you can find a program that just addresses closing skills or one that just addresses overcoming sales objections. This type sales course assumes you’ve successfully identified your problem area.

General Sales Course

A general sales course covers the entire sales process. If you are not sure about which of your sales skills needs improving, this is the right type of sales training program for you. Also, if you are trying to improve multiple skills, I recommend considering a general sales course for your sales training needs.

I recently released a complete sales training program that covers the entire sales process. It’s a DVD sales course but you also get the soundtrack on CDs so you can listen to the sales training while driving in your car. I invite you to learn more about this sales training program, “The Progressive Sales Process”.

I also wish you great sales success.

Posted by Nick in Sales Training To Improve Sales Results | 0 Comments »

Some Solid Sales Techniques

Looking for some new sales techniques? Well, good for you! You are a serious sales professional looking for ways to increase sales. As a sales coach, not only do I have some sales techniques for you, but this sales coach will also tell you were you will discover additional sales techniques you can use to increase sales. I hope these sales techniques will put much more commissions in your pockets. That’s why I’m a sales coach!

Post-Close Sales Techniques

Your prospect just decided to become your next client. Now what do you do? This sales technique is about what to do once your prospect signs the order. At this point, I need for you to take off your “sales hat” and stop selling. You don’t want to say something that causes you to lose the sale. I’ve seen it happen so keep these sales techniques in mind the next time you close a deal. As a sales coach, I don’t want you to lose an order you just closed.

Prospecting Sales Techniques

A sales coach must keep their eyes on what’s happening. Sales techniques about prospecting are very popular. Let’s face it; it’s not easy to get someone to grant you a sales appointment. These sales techniques address that problem. I know, as a sales coach, the only way to inspire someone to agree to meet with you is to give that prospect a compelling reason to meet with you. These sales techniques have nothing to do with the product you sell. These sales techniques have everything to do with the benefits one gains from using your product. You can only inspire someone to meet with you when you tell him or her how they will benefit from meeting with you. Case in point, are you just looking for sales techniques or are you looking for ways to increase sales and earn a lot more money? You must sell benefits and not the product. Remember these sales techniques the next time you are prospecting for sales appointments. You just got great advice from this sales coach.

Presenting Solutions Sales Techniques

Sell your company and stop selling yourself when you present your product as the solution to your prospect’s problem. Stop saying that you are a customer service machine and start saying your company is a customer service machine. Prospects know that salespeople come and go. They want to know that the company they are doing business with is stable and focused on customer service. When I’m acting as a sales coach, that’s what I preach.

Sales Coach

I have to run so I don’t have any more sales techniques for you today. But, I know where you can find a lot more sales techniques. You can find additional sales techniques at my free sales training videos. I have even more sales techniques for you posted on my sales skills articles page.

Solid sales techniques and sales strategies from a sales coach are the keys to overwhelming sales success. If you are looking for some great sales techniques, please check out my “Top 20 Sales Strategies”. These are the sales techniques used by the top sales professionals.

I hope the above sales techniques will put some money in your pockets. Once they do, you’ll know why I love my job as a sales coach.

Sales Training DVD Packed With New Sales Techniques

Posted by Nick in Sales Training To Improve Sales Results | 0 Comments »

A solid sales training DVD is an efficient and cost effective way to get the sales techniques you need to succeed in sales. You can pack a lot of sales techniques in a single sales training DVD and that’s why they are so popular. Let’s take at look at how sales techniques presented in sales training DVD could take your career to new heights.

A sales training DVD is a convenient way to discover new sales techniques. The DVD can be played on a Lap Top while at work or get your new sales techniques on your TV at home. Best of all, unlike “single event” seminars on sales techniques, you can play your sales training DVD whenever you need it. The sales techniques will “stick to your ribs”.

About A Sales Training DVD

I personally have a large collection of sales training DVDs and most of them truly reveal new and powerful sales techniques. I say most because not all sales training DVDs are current and the material on sales techniques is out of date.

I think too many sales training DVD specialize on just one sales technique. So, you may find one DVD that only discusses closing skills techniques and another sales training DVD that’s only about sales techniques for handling objections. Since the sales process is made up of a series of interlinking steps, I don’t see how you can separate the steps and still generate solid sales techniques.

Sales Techniques

Specialized sales training DVDs could cost anywhere from forty nine dollars to a few hundred dollars or more. As you can see, that can be an expensive way to acquire new sales techniques.

If you are looking for a sales training DVD program that covers the entire sales process and cost less than two hundred dollars, I invite to learn more about the sales techniques in “The Progressive Sales Process”. There are two DVDs and three CD in this complete sales training program. Each sales training DVD is packed with new and exciting sales techniques.

I always say that sales success is no accident. It’s up to you to get the sales techniques you’ll need to enjoy a rich career. I hope my sales training DVD program can help you get the career you desire. In fact, we can even help with prospecting skills.

Closing Sales Made Easy

Posted by Nick in Sales Training To Improve Sales Results | 0 Comments »

Too many salespeople have a difficult time closing sales. I guess that’s why I’m always asked for advice on closing sales but all too often the problem is not with the salespersons closing skills. I’ll cover that important point near the end of this article. Let’s first make closing sales easier for you.

When it comes to closing sales, don’t be one of those “salespeople” that never asks for the order. Prospects aren’t going to just hand you an order. You must ask for the order. This may appear elementary but since too many salespeople miss this point, I just had to mention it in this discussion about closing sales.

When Closing Sales Is A Top Priority

Now, you need to know when closing sales should be the only thing on your mind. There are two events that make closing sales your only priority. The first such event is right after you’ve presented your product as the solution to your prospect’s problem. At this point, closing the sale is critical so you must ask for the order.

At this point you may just get the order! But, if you don’t get the order after your first closing attempt, you’ll get some sales objections. Your prospects may have some concerns, misunderstandings or issues with the offer you presented. Before you can again start closing sales, you must successfully answer all sales objections.

Closing Sales And Asking For The Order

Closing sales must be your top priority after you’ve successfully addressed all sales objections. What else it there to do? Confidently ask your prospects for the order.

Closing sales becomes easier once you know when, in the sales process, to ask for the order. Closing sales has more to do with “when” than “how”. You should just be straightforward when closing sales.

Closing Sales And The Sales Process

The problem that most sales reps have with closing sales has nothing to do with their sales closing skills. The true problem has to do with the skillful and successful execution of all the steps in the sales process. If you can’t implement the sales process, closing sales will always be a problem. I recommend some solid sales process training because that training will have them closing sales like a top pro.

Once you know when to ask for an order, closing sales becomes much easier. And, if you are having a problem closing sales, get some solid sales process training.
