How To Become Sales Rep Of The Year
Ready To Become The Next Sales Rep Of The Year?
My entire career has been spent working with sales reps so I know them well. When it comes to awards they always say, “forget the trophy, just give me the check”. I know because I was the same way when I was a rep. I also know that deep down, I really wanted that trophy!
How about you? Are ready to become the next sales rep of the year? If so, here is some advice for you on how to become sales rep of the year.
Start Now To Become Sales Rep Of The Year
I’m writing this between Christmas and New Year so, in a few days, it will be the start of a new business year. We wipe the slate clean and start all over. Last year, good or bad, is in the past. Every sales rep will be tied for the lead but all that changes on January 31st. Now is the time to make your move to become the next sales rep of the year. You can do this!
We know that at lest the first half of the New Year will be tricky due to this stressed economy. Expect it and prepare for it but never let it get you down. You need the right attitude if you expect to become the next sales rep of the year so stay focused on your target.
Have A Plan To Become Sales Rep Of The Year
Organize your thoughts into a well developed and written plan. You don’t become sales rep of the year by accident. Establish not only monthly goals but include new strategic selling concepts. For example, in this economy I would target companies that are recession proof. Your plan should also include what you will do to improve your sales skills and become a better sales rep. Developing new sales skills will also motivate you to go out and use those skills. You can never know too much about “selling” so get some some solid sales training.
It’s not just about committing to a few extra sales prospecting calls every week. You also need a sales strategy to deal with this economy and a plan to further develop you sales techniques. Accomplish these action items and you’ll put yourself in position to become the next sales rep of the year.
I wish you the best of success in the New Year. I hope you take your earnings to new heights and, enjoy the trophy!
