Sales Training – You Can’t Succeed Without It!
Sales training turns average salespeople into great salespeople and great salespeople into even greater salespeople. As a sales trainer, I’ve seen how sales training changed everything for the better in the lives of so many salespeople.
Unfortunately, too many salespeople put sales training on the back burner. If you are one of those salespeople, this article is for you. The key to sales success is sales training.
Who Needs It
Obviously, new salespeople need training and when I say “new” I’m talking about salespeople with less than five years of experience. Experienced salespeople also can benefit from sales training because new sales strategies are always evolving. So, how can you tell if you need training? You need sales training if you want to make more money in your professional career.
Your Options
One option may be to just work harder. The problem with this option is that you’re working harder at things that don’t work very well. Another option to sales training may be to hope you’ll get lucky. Unfortunately, there is no room for the word “hope” in business.
Why You Need It
A word here and a word there could be the difference between success and failure. Let’s say a prospect just told you that your price was too high. How would you respond? This is a very common sales objection and how you respond is critical to closing the sale. Below is a sales training video clip that may help you better overcome the “price” sales objection.
The Benefits
The goal of sales training is to improve close rates and once close rates improve, earnings improve. But, there are other benefits. Sales training is also motivational and increases sales activity. Where To Get It
Sales reps should get training from a number of different sources because each sales trainer has something different to offer. At least once a quarter, serious salespeople should get their hands on a sales training book, DVD or CD. Consistent training is the only way to become a Sales Superstar.
