Want some tips on how to sell more? Forget what’s going on with the money in a prospect’s pockets and begin to understand what’s going on in the mind that’s under their hat. Once you’ve tap into that, you’ll begin to understand how to sell more in any economy. I have some advice that will help you sell more.

Money may be in shorter supply but it hasn’t disappeared. What has almost disappeared is the element of trust. Once you discover how to act on that, you’ll be selling more in this economy. The right attitude is key to selling more. For that reason, I wrote this article on how to sell more.

Trust is at an all time low and if you can fill that void, you’ll sell more in this economy. Please remember  this important point and you will learn how to sell more.

People are now having a difficult time trusting banks, corporations and even the government. Who can blame them? Just look at how Congress is grilling financial and corporate CEOs. While Congress is looking to hold someone accountable for this economy, they can’t hold themselves accountable if spending a trillion dollars on a bail out fails. We’re told it may work but then again it may not be enough money. Accountability is at an all time low all over and when that happens, trust also falls to an all time low. Trust is the factor that will allow you to sell more in this economy. Learn about this and you’ll sell more.

 

 

This lack of trust goes even further and if you can harness this factor you’ll discover how to sell more. I happen to be a customer of one of these banks that were considered too large to fail. These banks are not paying interest on deposits and are not  loaning people money.  These banks have learned to nickel and dime customers with fees, at least that’s the case in my bank that dates back to the wild West. This bank doesn’t have a clue on how to sell more in the long term.  Nickel and dimming customers is a failed long-term strategy because these customers will leave and when they do, this bank will discover that they didn’t have a clue on how to sell more.

Sell more with trust. You don’t have to look far these days to find a warning label, disclaimer or an asterisk. There was a time when you could trust a man’s word and handshake. In today’s world, it should come to no surprise that trust is in short supply. This lack of trust is linked to an economy we can no longer trust. So how do we leverage this point to sell more?

We all want to sell more and trustworthiness is the key to selling more in this economy. Documented references from clients using your product or service will help you fill the trust void and help you sell more. People want to be absolutely certain that your product will work before they spend money, especially in this economy. You need to provide your prospects with evidence that your product worked well for others by using testimonials. Selling, with solid references behind you, will help you sell more in this economy. Old sales techniques will not work in this economy.

How To Sell More In Any Economy

Referrals are another tool you must use to increase sales in this economy. Prospects tend to trust people that were referred to them by someone they already trust. You’ll have a difficult time selling in this economy if you’re not cultivating referrals. Referrals are one more way to sell more in this economy.

You’ll also need powerful rapport building skills to establish the trust required to learn how to sell more in this economy. Building rapport increase trust and comfort. Establishing Rapport is an important step in the sales process and certainly one that can’t be ignored in this economy. If you are having difficulties building rapport with your prospects or any other step in the sales process, use this time to get some advanced sales training. Sell more by understanding fear. In this economy, you must address the fear prospects have about making the wrong decision. To do so, you must take the trust factor to the next level. Once you do, you’ll increase sales in this economy. Proper salesmanship will always have you selling more, even in this economy.
