Sales Training Is Not The Answer.. Or Is It?
Who needs sales training? You’ve been in sales for a few years and you know everything about selling. Let others spend their time and money on a sales training program.
You have great prospecting skills. You hit the phones hard and make 100 calls every week. Forget the fact that 96 of those calls results in failure. What’s important is the 4 that granted you an appointment. Hopefully they’ll be qualified but you’ll never know until you meet them. No, you don’t need prospecting sales training.
Who Needs Sales Training?
You use great sales strategies. They were developed by your Marketing Department so what can be better than that? You use these strategies on every appointment so there is no benefit in taking a sales training program focused on sales strategies.
Your sales process is solid. You know exactly what to say and how to say it. It’s the same process you’ve been using for years so you don’t need sales training focused on the sales process.
Why You Don’t Need Sales Training
You are a closer. You have a solid 25% close rate and that’s one of the best close rates in your office. Forget the fact that you didn’t close 75% of your prospects because that says nothing about your sales skills. Those deals didn’t close because of the economy or they were just bad leads. Look, sometimes the competition just gets lucky so you don’t need sales training. You know all about salesmanship.
You have a plan to make more money in sales. You’ll just work harder. A few more phone calls and a few more appointments are all that’s needed to succeed in sales. Besides, the harder you work, the luckier you get, so who needs sales training programs?
You’d like to start earning $100,000 + a year but you have to be realistic. That’s not going to happen in this economy and besides; the prices you are forced to charge are way too high. You also can’t overlook that your competition has a solid product so it’s only natural that they will sometimes crush you. How will sales training prevent that from happening?
You Could Benefit From Powerful Sales Training
Obviously, I’m just having fun in this post. Who needs sales training? Eighty percent of sales reps need sales training. Did you know that just 20% of all salespeople account for 80% of all orders? If you are not one of the 20%, you need sales training.
So many salespeople find our site by searching for “free sales training”. We offer a lot of free sales training and we are happy to do so and we know it benefits those looking to succeed. But, it’s a cart before the horse problem. If you can’t afford sales training, you need sales training!

To your sales success!
