Customer Service Tips And Advice
There sure are a lot of customer service training programs, books and articles on the subject. So, where is all the great customer service? Let me give you some customer service tips and advice because in this economy, customer retention is king. The key is advanced sales training.
CUSTOMER SERVICE TIPS AND ADVICE VIDEO
Customer Service Tips About Reacting
Here is important customer service advice for you. Customers clearly understand that things can go wrong. It happens! Customer service begins with an appropriate reaction to the customer’s complaint. Let me give you an example to illustrate how important the initial reaction is to account retention.
My now former Dry Cleaner clearly burned my shirt during the pressing process. When I showed them the garment, they looked at it and studied it for way too long. Then they announced that the burn mark had to be there prior to their servicing. I didn’t argue because the look on their faces told me it wasn’t worth it. (TIP,Look out for customers that never argue or complain.) I just took my business to another Dry Cleaner costing my former Dry Cleaner $120 per month in revenue. Too bad that cleaner never got customer service advice.
Customer Service Tips On Overreacting
The initial reaction is key to superior customer service. You must, in fact, overreact. Customers must feel that you care more than they care about the problem. Make the issue very important. In my case, things would have been different if my former Dry Cleaner felt worst about my shirt than I did. Perhaps I’ll mail him this customer service tip.
Customer Service Tips About Sales
I have some customer service advice about selling. Something went wrong and now you have to resell your client on your company. Customer service and sales skills go hand in hand. Customer service reps are truly sales reps and for that reason I urge all involved with customer service to get some sales training. I just gave you solid customer service advice.
Customer Service Tips On The Sales Process
Customer service reps need to master the Sales Process. They need to know how to build rapport and overcome objections like a top sales pro. Most of all, they need to know how to “re-close” the deal. After all, that’s what customer retention is all about in the first place. This is a key customer service tip. Customer service reps need to know how to execute all the steps in the Sales Process.
Customer Service Tips About Following-up
So you’ve fixed the problem and your customer appears to be pleased. Well, your customer service efforts are not over yet. You need to get back to your customer and insure “the fix” worked out as planed. This accomplishes two things. First, it demonstrates that you sincerely cared about your customer’s problem. Second, it provides an opportunity to remind your customer why they should continue doing business with you. This type of customer service follow-up turns a negative into a positive. I hope you’ll remember this customer service advice.
Again, I want to remind you that customer service reps have to be some of the best sales reps in your organization. So, insure they get the sales training required to glue customers to your company and you’ll grow your business.
I hope these customer service tips will help you grow your business. My leading piece of customer service advice is to learn the sales process.
My best to you always!
