The Best Sales Trainer
At times I’m asked who is the best sales trainer. Anticipating my response, the question always begins with “aside from yourself”. Fact is, I know of many sales trainers that could fall into the category of best sales trainer. If I had to decide on one, I would pick the one that opened my mind the most. Discover why I picked this person to answer the question of who is the best sales trainer.
My Pick For Who Is The Best Sales Trainer In The World… EVER!
As best sales trainer, I would pick someone that is not known as a sales trainer. I would pick Peter Drucker (1909 – 2005) as the best sales trainer because he, more than anyone, opened my mind to new concepts about selling and management. Mr. Drucker described himself as a “social ecologist” and coined the term “knowledge worker”. I’m sure he would be surprised about being chosen my pick for who is the best sales trainer but I’m comfortable with my decision. He taught me much more about sales than stuff like overcoming sales objections.
Why Mr. Drucker Is My Selection For Best Sales Trainer
Although his works are not about sales training, you can learn a lot about selling and selling techniques by reading his books. For example, Mr. Drucker said, “The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn’t said”. I’m sure you can see how those eleven words apply to sales training and the sales process. Mr. Drucker is my pick for best sales trainer because his powerful concepts can be applied to many disciplines and professional sales training is one of them.
The Best Sales Trainer Opens Minds
You may be surprised that I picked Peter Drucker as the best sales trainer but how can you ignore some of his quotes? For example, Mr. Drucker wrote, “The purpose of business is to create and keep a customer.” When you consider a salesperson’s daily tasks, so many of those tasks have nothing to do with the creation or retention of customers. Mr. Drucker’s quote provides salespeople with direction and focus. Also, notice he did not say “customers”. He said, “a customer”. Every customer is important and we create them one at a time. Just one more reason I pick Mr. Drucker when I’m asked who is the best sales trainer.
Others As Best Sales Trainer
I can understand why others may pick someone else as the best sales trainer. I’ve chosen Peter Drucker as the best sales trainer because his words are universal and everlasting. Few sales trainers can claim those attributes about their work.
I try to bring quality, creativity and truthfulness to all my sales training. I try hard to be the best sales trainer but I don’t think anyone knows how that can be measured. However, I’m proud to say that if I had to pick one person as the best sales trainer, it would be Mr. Peter Drucker. He may not have taught me how to sell but he sure taught me how to think. He left the “how to” for me to develop. Thank you, Mr. Drucker.
Peter Drucker Is The Best Sales Trainer
If you are not familiar with Mr. Drucker, I urge you to get your hands on some of his works. Once you do, you’ll better understand why I pick Mr. Drucker as the best sales trainer.
I wish you great sales success.

Nick, great article! I’m a Drucker fan…what an incredible mind. You emphasize an aspect of him (sales) that few ever consider since he’s been cast in the ‘corporate management’ mold. Thanks for sharing.
