Sales Presentations Guide

HOLD ON! I know how people “read” a Web Page. They scan the page looking for headlines or something of interest. If you want to learn how to deliver successful sales presentation, please take the time to read this entire article. Don’t rush to click on the video below. Instead, read the content and discover all you’ll need to know about sales presentations in this guide.

Types of Sales Presentations

There are different types of sales presentations and much of it depends on where you are in the sales process. Some sales presentations are delivered as an Executive Summary of a proposal. Other sales presentations are delivered with the intent to qualify for consideration on the “short list” of potential vendors. The sales presentation training video below is about qualifying for the short list.

Sales Presentation Advice

Obviously sales presentations are important because they represent “make it or break it” situations. Either you earn the right to move forward or you don’t. That’s why I’m so serious about sales presentations and written so many articles on the subject.  One article is about using stories in sales presentations to make them more effective. Another article is focused on delivering sales presentation . A third article is about tips from sales presentation training. All three articles will help you deliver successful sales presentations.

Sales Presentation Training Video

I need to provide you with some information about the sales presentation training video below so you’ll get more out of it. First, I want you to know that the sales presentation video was not produced for this article. It was produced as part of my YouTube sales training video clips so please ignore the first minute of the video.

As I mentioned, the sales presentation on the video is about qualifying for consideration as a potential vendor. I’m selling a make believe product called a “Super Widget”. What I’m selling is not important. What is important is the sales presentation format and style.

Sales Presentation Issues

Too many sales presentations only focus on how a product will function once it’s installed. That limits the “added value” that must be presented if you want your presentation to succeed. In this video, I expand the “added value” message to include the entire life of the product. I cover pre sales support, how the product will operate once installed and post sales support. Yes, this is advanced sales training.

Successful Sales Presentations

The key to successful sales presentations is to deliver a crisp message. Pay special attention to the format I use in the video. It allows the salesperson to deliver a crisp message, sell benefits and lock out the competition. The sales presentation format is key. After viewing the sales presentation training video, please return to this article because I have addition advice for you.

Sales Presentation Tips

Here are some sales presentation tips I hope you got out of the video.

Did you notice how I sold benefits after I presented an “action” or feature? Did you notice how I locked out the competition by saying, “Let me know if you heard something from other vendors that I failed to mention”? Did you notice how I laid “land minds” for the competition by saying, “Be cautious about doing business with a vendor that isn’t discussing pre sales support in these terms”? If you didn’t notice these sales presentation techniques, I urge you to view the video one more time.

The only way to qualify for a “short list” of potential vendors is to separate yourself from the competition. The only way to separate yourself from the competition is by using “added value”. That’s why the sales presentation training video was packed with “added value” statements.

I hope you feel I gave you useful advice about successful sales presentations. Our company is about top notch sales training for serious sales professionals. I hope you’ll take the time to look at our sales training programs. Our sales training videos have one goal in mind, to help you succeed in sales.

Here is my advice for you. Think about your product and the sales presentation format presented in the video. Add your pre sales and post sales “added value” to the format. Add the added value your client will enjoy once they start “operating” or using your product or service. Remember to sell benefits. Do these things and I’m confident your next sales presentation will be a big success.
