How come others on your team are not concerned about keeping their sales jobs? They sell the same product at the same price. They just sell more.

Buy Time To Save Your Sales Job

Your sales productivity is not going to increase overnight so you need to buy some time if you expect to save your sales job. Believe it or not but your sales manager also wants you to keep your sales job. No sales manager wants to recruit, hire and train a new sales rep. Then you have to deal with start up time and learning curves. After doing all that, the Sales Manager knows that they may just wind up with another sales rep that not performing up to standards. This is why the sales manager also wants you to keep your sales job.

Ways To Buy Time To Keep Your Sales Job

There are ways to buy time to keep your sales job. PIPs can always be extended but you’ll need to show progress and the right attitude so that you’ll keep your sales job. Keep your sales job by communicating with your sales manager. Your message must be, “I see what I was doing wrong and here is what I’m doing to fix it”. This is the first step in buying time so that you can keep your sales job.

Get Serious About Keeping Your Sales Job

I know, you are a great sales rep. However, numbers don’t lie and sales reps live by numbers. Those numbers are why you are concerned about keeping your sales job. You are under great employment and financial stress and it’s time to do something positive about it. You don’t have to live that way. You need to get some solid sales training if only to remind you of the things you already know you should be doing. Knowing and doing are two different things. Keeping your sales job is about doing!
