A Sales Course Can Make A Big Difference In A Sales Career
When was the last time you got involved in a sales course? Too many reps can’t remember the answer to that question. I guess they’ll just continue to blame their poor sales performance on the economy. Things could be different if they got themselves a powerful sales course packed with selling skills.
What if the sales techniques in a sales course only allowed you to generate two extra sales a year? A sales course should be able to accomplish better than that but let’s stay with just two extra sales a year. In ten years, you’ll generate twenty extra sales. Who wouldn’t want twenty extra sales and the commissions that go along with it? A sales course generates an excellent return on your time and money.
Another benefit of a sales course is the motivation it generates. After completing a solid sales course, salespeople get anxious to put their new skills to use in the field. A sales course can be motivating and a great way to increase sales activity.
A sales course can also shorten the sales cycle. If you are not using the right selling skills, a sale can drag on forever before it’s finally closed. Imagine what happens when you sell more in less time. That’s just one more benefit of a great sales course.
A powerful sales course can even save a sales career. Too many low performing sales reps get frustrated and simply give up. They blame their manager, their pricing, their product and yes, even the economy. Instead of enjoying rich commissions, they are out in the market looking for a new career. Too bad they didn’t place more value on the selling skills discovered in a sales course.
My start in sales was a disaster. My problem was that I didn’t know how to sell but I didn’t know that at the time. Finally I got wise and took a sales course. Suddenly, I got more productive and got hooked on sales training. That first sales course changed everything for the better and that sales course is also responsible for my sales training career. I know the power of sales training and I want to give that power to others.
