I just started writing a new sales training book. After all, I know a thing or two about sales so why not my own sales training book?
I want this book to be unique and stamped with my “street fighting” approach to competitive sales strategies. If I can’t pull that off, this sales training book will never get released.
As I mentioned, many sales training books leave me feeling flat. Someone referred to as “King” wrote one very popular sales training book. The title of the book reminds me of a religious document. Nevertheless, it remains a best selling sales training book and I’m sure it’s help many reps to succeed in sales. It’s great sales rep training!
SALES TRAINING BOOKS OVER VIDEOS
I prefer selling skills CDs or DVDs to sales training books. I believe sales reps benefit more from hearing and seeing than reading. For that reason, the last sales training book I wrote was simply a sales training workbook.
DO SALES TRAINING BOOKS WORK?
The sales training program featured in my new sales training book is about sales strategies. I decided on sales strategies because strategies require a plan and too many sales reps overlook the need for strategic planning.
My challenge is to make my sales training books exciting and I can tell you that’s not a simple task. My core competency is sales training and not writing. If it wasn’t for spell checker, I don’t even think I’d attempt to write any sales training books or sales training courses.
Well… It’s back to work on my sales training book. I hope to complete at least five pages today.
