Customer Care Tips And Advice You Need To Know

by, Nick Moreno

In this economy, you would think customer care would receive a high priority. However, I’m just not seeing any concern for customer care out there. This bothers me so I have some customer care tips and advice for you today.

A few days ago, I contracted five people I did business with over the years. I don’t want to be specific so let me give you a good example of what I was doing. Let’s say they were all doctors and I was looking for a specialist they might know. Since I was a former client, you would think some aspect of customer care would enter the picture. After two days, I heard back from one out of five. Some customer care!

A friend, on another issue, gave me a contact that could solve a problem I was dealing with. I called and E-Mailed that contact three days ago and have yet to hear back from them. Where is the concern for customer care?

I discussed this with another friend of mine and he said the same thing was going on with him. You call business contacts that should return your call but they don’t. You call people you want to do business with and they don’t return your calls. If you any regard for customer care, you’ll at least return someone’s phone call.

Someone that ordered my sales training program recently contacted me. I was happy to hear that they “loved” the training but one of the five sales training CDs got damaged in the mail. It was the one on sales strategies. I don’t know how that could happen but who cares? It was time for me to put on my customer care hat!

Customer Care Process

In less than two hours after hearing about the damaged CD, I contacted my client. I told them a new CD would be mailed out tomorrow and I was sorry they had a problem. This process is called customer care.

My client quickly got back to me and told how great my training is and how much she appreciated my customer care. She said she would recommend me to others.

What did I do? She purchased a sales training CD that was damaged. I sent her a new one. All of a sudden, I’m a Super Star.

If making good on an order makes me a Super Star… what is the rest of the world doing? Where is the customer care?

Why is customer care important? If you don’t take care of your customers… you competition will.

My advice to you is to get fully focused on customer care as soon as possible… like right now!

My best to you!
