Sales Training Jobs Keep You Busy

I’m often asked why I left sales and picked a sales training job as a way to earn a living. My answer is always the same. I was at a point in my life and career that put me in a position to give back to a profession that had been very good to me. I could not think of a better way to help others than with a sales training job.

Sales training jobs require constant studying. For that reason, I still do my best to get my hands on every piece of available sales training material. Sales training jobs are all about staying on top of industry trends. A sales training job could sure get stale if the sales trainer presented the same sales training course throughout his or her entire career.

Sales training jobs are demanding jobs with many different faces. I could be training one minute and consulting the next. I may be developing a new sales training program or I may be stuck in my office running my business. You may find me writing a post like this one or you may find me working as a guest speaker. The key to succeeding at a sales training job is flexibility.

No matter how disciplined one may be, there is always some non work related issue that will interfere with a person’s job and the same is true with sales training jobs. Recently, I’ve been hit with a ton of such issues and they have been taking time away from my sales training job. Now you know why you may have noticed a sharp decline in the number of posts I’ve been generating over the past few months.

Thankfully, the issues that have been taking up my time have mostly been good issues. Case in point… I recently came across a home for sale in Henderson Nevada that captured my interest. I recently made an offer for the property and if I get it, I’ll be moving this sales training company to Nevada. If that happens, expect a major interruption in my sales training job. The good news is that the staff and back office can and will be maintained in San Diego. Technology can help improve any job including sales training jobs.
