Sales Advice For The Top Sales Pros
5 Sales Strategies That Work
Never Face Another Sales Slump
You can avoid a sales slump when you capture new sales strategies from advanced sales training that will help increase sales performance.
I’ve been working with the top sales professionals for quite some time. The top sales reps are a fun group and I enjoy being around them. Often they ask me for some sales advice about a sales slump. Sales slumps are never fun so here are five sales strategies you can use to avoid them at all cost.
1) Stop Looking For Shortcuts
My sales strategy advice for the top pros in a slump is that there are no shortcuts in salesmanship. My advice is to always follow the sales process and stay on track. This sales strategy advice keeps the top sales pros out of trouble. You need sales strategies that get you focused on doing all the things you know you should be doing.
When a top sales professional asks me for some sales strategies to fight off a sales slump, inevitably, shortcuts are causing the slump. These top pros know the Sales Process but for some reason they stopped practicing it. That’s a sales strategy that can only bring failure. Get back to the sales strategies that work and leave the shortcuts for others.
Once you know and use the sales process, the guesswork is gone and selling becomes easy. So, who needs shortcuts? My sales advice is to continue using what works, the Sales Process. The Sales Process is how sales are developed. It is a communications process that joins a “buyer” to a “seller”. It works and it always will work to generate sales success. My sales strategy advice is to stick with it and forget those silly shortcuts.
2) Clean Out Your Funnel
Stop holding on to prospects that will never buy from you. Why are these prospects in your sales funnel? You’ve tried a hundred sales strategies to close them but nothing works. Move on and find some new prospects that can and will buy from you. Those old prospects are just dragging you down. Forget them!
3) Strategies To Get Back To Basics
You are never so experienced that you can’t learn some new sales strategies. My sales strategy advice for experienced reps in a slump is to get back to sales training, and not only advanced sales training. From time to time we all need to be reminded of the basics. And, there are great benefits in picking up new and improved ways to implement the basics of selling. No one knows every sales strategy. You are never too seasoned to pick up some new sales strategies that help you implement the steps in the good old basic sales process.
4) Go Visit Some Clients
Get out and visit some of your customers. Ask them about the benefits they are receiving by using your product or service. The next time you are with a new prospect, tell that prospect about the benefits your customers are enjoying. Prospects buy benefits not products. Benefit selling must be part of your overall sales strategies.
5) Get Motivated
All too often, a sales slump either is caused by or leads to a lack of motivation. Who can get motivated to use the same old tired sales strategies day in and day out. Get some sales training and develop some new sales strategies. When you do, you’ll beĀ motivated to put those new sales strategies to work. You’ll put that bounce back in your step when you start using a few new sales strategies!
I also have some sales advice for new salespeople. If you are not familiar with the Sales Process, stop reading and get some sales training. You can’t earn a great living in sales if you are not following the Sales Process and sales strategies to implement it. So, learn all about the Sales Process and start selling with the sales strategies of the Top Sales Professionals. Selling is all about sales skills, strategies and sales techniques.
I hope my sales advice aboutĀ will benefit both new and experienced salespeople looking for sales strategies they can take to the bank.
