How Long It Took Took To Produce This Sales Training Program
It took a full 12 months to produce the “Progressive Sales Process”. And, when I say a full 12 months, I’m talking about working seven days a week. Those were some very long days and nights but I truly enjoyed every minute of it.
I remember family and friends urging me, if not demanding me, to take a break and go on a vacation. So, after nine months of straight working, I took a trip to a quiet and peaceful beach in the Caribbean. Unfortunately, all I could do on that beach was think about this sales training program. And, all I wanted to do was get back to that sales training program. You see, it wasn’t work for me. I was “in the zone” and I knew this sales training program would change lives for the better. If you’ve never had an experience like that, you are missing out on a fantastic life changing event.
I knew I was doing was important work and once you get that feeling nothing can stop you. I wanted to get all the sales skills I gathered over the years into the hands of serious salespeople. After all, “The Progressive Sales Process” video represents my life’s work as a sales trainer, sales coach and mentor to serious salespeople. There are salespeople out there anxious to learn sales skills that produce amazing results. I had to get it right!
Who Did The Production Work And Editing
I did all the writing, editing and production work on “The Progressive Sales Process”. To a fault, I just could not pass anything about this sales training video to another person. This was my sales training program and I owned it. I not only owned it, but I also enjoyed being responsible for the quality of the video production and the sales training content.
I learned a lot about producing and editing a sales training video. I just banged away until I got it right. In fact, my right hand wound up in a brace thanks to long days and nights at a keyboard and control panel. I even gained nine pounds, which I since worked off, but that was a small price to pay for producing a high quality sales training program.
How I Captured Such High Quality Sales Training Material
You may already know that I’ve worked with and trained top salespeople for three decades. But, I learned more from them than what I taught them! You see, over the years, I observed all of their successful sales strategies and sales skills. I knew, based on my field experience, what worked and what didn’t work to close a ton of sales. Everything I learned from those top sales professionals is contained in this sales training program. I left nothing out and I’ll forever be grateful to those Sales Superstars that taught me so much about “selling”. Funny how even today, they thank me, but I’m the one that forever will be thanking them.
I just love salespeople and love being around them. They are a fun and entertaining bunch of people. The top professionals are great at what they do and all their special sales skills are incorporated in my sales training program, “The Progressive Sales Process”. My Motivation For Producing This Sales Training Video
Honestly, at first my motivation was to do something that would make me some money. Nothing wrong with that… right? But, my motivation quickly changed after the first week of working on this sales training video. I knew I was on to something special and that I could help people enjoy rich careers in sales.
You see, when I started out in my sales career, I stunk at salesmanship. I had zero sales skills and that zero just about equaled my sales performance… and commissions. At first, I blamed my product, my sales manager, my territory… you know the drill. But then it came to me. The problem wasn’t all those other things,,, the problem was me. Others in my sales office had the same product, pricing and manager. They were all succeeding in sales and I knew I had to learn from them. The key was to develop their sales skills through sales training and using the best practices of the top sales professionals.
During those early days, my sales commissions could not even pay the bills. I felt like a failure and even got a night job while I was perfecting my sales skills. That’s no way to live and I hated it!
My motivation is to simply help others and to keep them from going through the same hell I went through during the early days of my sales career. I learned that when a higher motivation drives you to succeed, good things happen… like this sales training program. I’m so proud of it!
Why This Sales Training Program Works
Too many salespeople conclude that if they are failing to close sales they need better closing skills. “Closing” is the easiest part of the sales process and the reason the sales did not close often has nothing to do with closing skills.
The art of “selling” is a process made up of a series of steps. Mess up just one of those steps and you’ll never close the sale. So, I developed a sales training program that covers every step in the sales process. It is a complete sales training program and that makes this sales training a very different sales training program… and one that produces results.
